Officials and staff members of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Office on International Linkages and the Office of Student Development Services underwent a 3-day training on internal quality audit, conducted by Ms. Angelica Fraginal. This is part of the OVPAA Main Office's preparations for ISO 9001:2015 Certification.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) and the UP System Ad Hoc Committee on Quality Assurance Capability Building (QACB) organized the “External QA Webinar” held on 25 April 2022. VPAA Cynthia Bautista delivered the welcome remarks. AVPAA Alyssa M. Peleo-Alampay gave an overview of External QA and the types of UP EQA. Dr. Monet M. Loquias (UPM), Dr. Erneleo A. Cao (UPD), Dr. Jovencio A. Abalos (UPLB), Dr. Portia G. Lapitan (Ret. Prof., UPLB) and Dr. Nina M. Cadiz (UPLB QAO Director), shared their experience in undergoing various external assessments. The Webinar was hosted by Dr. Aura C. Matias, UPD QAO Director and Assoc. Prof. Ma. Rowena D.R. Raymundo of UPOU and members of the Ad Hoc Committee. The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) and the UP System Ad Hoc Committee on Quality Assurance Capability Building (QACB) organized the “Benchmarking for QA Webinar” held on 28 March 2022. VPAA Cynthia Bautista delivered the welcome remarks. VCAA Philip Ian Padilla gave an overview of benchmarking and talked about post-benchmarking activities. AVPAA Alyssa M. Peleo-Alampay talked about Small Scale Benchmarking. Dr. Nina M. Cadiz, Director of the UPLB QA Office, talked about Formal Benchmarking. The Webinar was hosted by Asst. Prof. Ma. Rowena D.R. March 2021

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) conducted the “Ano ang gamit ng iAADS at SAR? A Post-IQA and EQA Forum” on 13 December 2021. The Forum was graced by the presence of the following speakers: Dr. Jose Balmaceda, who talked about the iAADS Instrument; Dr. Irene Villasenor, who discussed about the Post-Assessment Procedure for IQA; and Dr. Alyssa M. Peleo-Alampay, who discussed about the Post-Assessment Procedure for EQA. VPAA Cynthia Bautista delivered the opening and closing remarks. The Forum was hosted by Dr. Nina Cadiz, Director of the UPLB QA Office and VCAA Philip Padilla, Ph.D. of UPV. Forum materials are available through this link. Feb 2021

"Series 3, “Going Digital: Assuring Quality in Assessment” will be held on 30th September 2020, 2:00 pm (Jakarta/Bangkok time, GMT +7) via zoom. This time, speakers will present cases focusing on their home university’s shift to online assessment due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and how quality is assured in the assessment during this disruption." (ASEAN-QA Forum, 2020).

The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine of UP Los Baños will be among the programs undergoing online/remote site visits in the AUN-QA Programme Assessment scheduled in October 2020.

"Series 2 with the topic Going Digital: Learning from the Learners is happening on August 27, 2020, 2 PM Bangkok/Jakarta time/ GMT +7 via Zoom.

This time, we will listen to the voice of our learners in a panel discussion with students from Atma Jaya Catholic University (Indonesia), Mahidol University (Thailand), Phnom Penh International University (Cambodia), Potsdam University (Germany), and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Malaysia). The discussion will focus on the experiences of students during the shift to online teaching and learning and how higher education institutions have engaged them in quality assurance processes." (ASEAN-QA Forum, 2020).

On January 23-25, 2020 the Philippine Technological Council-Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineering and Technology (PTC-ACBET) visited the Institute of Civil Engineering in UP Diliman, following the Institute's submission of the Self-Study Report. 

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs organized a workshop on degree program assessment for UP Faculty conducted by Dr. Tan Kay Chuan. The workshop was held at the Asia Pacific Leadership Academy on November 11-14, 2019. There were 30 faculty participants with representations from all CUs.

The AUN-QA Chief Quality Officers' Meeting was held at the UP Bonifacio Global City on March 6, 2019.

The B.S. in Biology Program in UP Diliman and Doctor of Medicine Program in UP Manila underwent AUN-QA Programme Assessment in August 2018.

The System AAD Committee conducted a strategic planning workshop held on 4-6 July 2018 at the Microtel Wyndham, UP Technohub.
